When you fly over, be sure to say a little prayer for us Iowans. Election season is coming.

No — it’s already here.

We Iowans play an important role in every presidential cycle. We get the first opportunity to say who we think the next president of the United States should be. And it’s a big responsibility. All but one president since 1980 has won their party’s election in Iowa. We’re a swing state. I can predict California will be blue and Texas red, but in Iowa, it’s anybody’s game.

Here, politics NEVER END. There’s been a TV ad funded by a wealthy local playing constantly about impeaching Trump since he was elected.

Now, the candidates are pouring in. Beto O’Rourke randomly showed up at a small 5k race I participate in each year. Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie…they’ve ALL been here in the past few weeks. There are 99 counties in the state and all of them will get a visit by each and every candidate attempting to dig up more supporters.

Tens of millions of dollars will be spent here on TV and radio ads. Even if you don’t have…
