Remember those goals you set back on January 1st? How are those coming along? Are you crushing it, or maybe thinking, “What were my resolutions, anyway?”

I’m not really a resolution person myself, but come January 1st I always find myself looking ahead. What do I want my year to look like?

Eighty percent of all New Year’s Resolutions are destined to fail. That’s bananas! The most common resolution is no surprise — weight loss.

It wasn’t a New Year’s Resolution, but in 2013 I started my journey towards a 70-pound weight loss, which I’ve maintained to this day. Knowing that such a high percentage of resolutions fail, how was I able to be so successful towards achieving my goal?

If better health, starting an exercise routine, or weight loss is your goal there is never a better time to start than right now. January is hard. Depending on where you live, the weather is often poor. Most people are coming off the holidays and are tired and stressed out. The summer months are a great time to start working towards your goal. Better weather, an easier schedule, and longer daylight all work in your favor to help you be more successful.
